Lifeguarding Policies

Bookings

• At least 1 guard per 20 swimmers.
• If a rented inflatable water slide, separate from the pool, is at the event, two lifeguards are required.
• Minimum of 3 hours per event.
• Full payment is required to confirm your booking.
• If location requires valet or payment to park, such fees must be validated or paid by the client. Client shall note any such fees on booking questionnaire.

Cancellations and Modifications

• Cancellations made within 48 hours from the start of the event, are nonrefundable. A refund of 75% will be made if the cancellation is 48 hours or more from the start of the event.
• If the event is moved to a different date after your lifeguard has been assigned, an additional 25% administrative fee will charged to move to a future date.
• Same day cancellations due to severe (ex: hurricane or tropical storm) confirmed weather, will result in a 75% refund if the guard has not already arrived to the event. If the cancellation occurs during the event after the guard has arrived, refunds will not be granted.

Premiums

• Option to extend: If you are needing the lifeguard/s to stay after their schedule time, and the lifeguard is able to stay over, you will be sent an invoice after the event at 1.5 times of the hourly rate in one hour increments.
• An additional charge will be added to your invoice for holiday and last minute bookings (within 72 hours). This charge will be clearly stated in your pre-booking estimate.

Photo Release

• A member of Lifeguards On Deck may pop in during the event to ensure client satisfaction. During that time, Company may take photos for marketing and social media purposes. If the client wishes to not have the event photographed, the client must email Lifeguardsondeck@gmail.com to request that no photos be taken at the event prior to the start of the event.
